What’s Happening?
Since assuming management in March 2026, the Arnold Palmer Golf Management team has been hard at work restoring and transforming the Meadows and Groves golf courses, bringing both back to the standard the Suncoast community deserves. The first golf course to open to the public was the Meadows Course on Friday, June 19, which was formerly only open to members of Meadows Country Club.
Course & Turf
- 50,000 square feet of new sod installed across five high-priority areas, including greens, tee boxes, the practice putting green, and the driving range
- Wall-to-wall fertilization and a custom nutrient recovery program applied to both the Meadows and Groves courses
- Full greens aerification completed May 18–21, with a targeted grow-in program timed precisely for opening day
- Targeted weed and pest control programs implemented across both courses, reversing years of accumulation
- New flags and flagsticks on every hole, branded tee markers on all active tee boxes, and new cup cutters installed to proper putting surface standards
- Driving range now offers grass hitting surfaces in addition to mats, alternating daily for optimal turf recovery
- New Club Car Tempo golf cart fleet arrived August 5, 2026, an industry leader in safety, efficiency and comfort
While the progress made in the first 90 days has been substantial, the work is far from over. The team’s attention now turns to the Groves course, where continued agronomic investment and restoration work will bring a second 18 holes up to the standard our players expect. The goal is simple: 36 holes of golf that the Suncoast community, its residents, and its visitors can be proud to play.
When is the opening scheduled for the Meadows Course and the Groves Course?
